As the name suggests, the Coulee Challenge is tough ride through the coulees of the Driftless Region.  The first 15 miles are a relatively gentle warmup through quiet farm country.  After the first control, riders will encounter miles and miles of constantly rolling terrain on quiet roads.

Approximately 45 miles into the ride, the route climbs over and through the Mindoro Cut.  The Mindoro Cut is the first of several scenic but challenging climbs, including the notorious Tamarack Hill. All the climbing is worth it though, as riders are rewarded with lightly travelled roads and wonderful scenery.

Fortunately, the final 25 miles provide a lightly rolling break for tired legs.

After he ride join us at the Diehn residence where a full rando recovery cookout with refreshments will be waiting.
